European Masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York

QUEENSLAND ART GALLERY | GALLERY OF MODERN ART

QAGOMA’s blockbuster exhibition ‘European Masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York’ was a collection of iconic paintings from the 1400s to the 1900s from artists including Fra Angelico, Caravaggio, Van Gogh and Monet. The collection was loaned for the first time as a group to QAGOMA due to renovations undertaken at their home institution in New York. Despite COVID travel restrictions preventing anyone other than Queenslanders being able to visit, the exhibition was well-attended and the accompanying exhibition publication sold out of two print runs before the show had closed.

For this project I designed the brand and concept artwork for signage and the marketing campaign. I also co-designed the catalogue with my colleague Amy West. The 240 page hardcover book had two cover variations and was printed by Cornerstone Press, Brisbane.
