I like to make things, and as a result I’ve had a store on Etsy.com since 2007. At times my handmade business has been my full-time job, and at one stage I was selling at craft markets (including Finders Keepers, BrisStyle and Etsy Made Local) as well as filling wholesale orders.

In recent years I’ve been making cast plaster pine cones, gumnuts and blossoms, which I make into home decor pieces and Christmas decorations. Working with plaster is fascinating to me, and I make all my own silicone moulds. Lately I’ve been experimenting with speckle dyeing cotton and linen to make the petal components of my gum blossoms, and I love the vibrant unpredictability of the results.
